1. Initial mortgage application process
Each lender has its own way of initiating, processing, underwriting and closing a home loan. However, the basic concept is the same. Some smaller businesses will have a Loan Officer for everything from applying for a loan, collecting the required paperwork for the mortgage servicer, collecting the terms and working closely with your mortgage provider. However, larger, more advanced mortgage lenders may initially qualify an applicant as a Loan Officer and ask one or more Assistant Loan Officers to help you get the most benefit and streamline the entire loan process. A Loan Officer is the person who manages your loan. The Loan Officer, with the help of the Assistant Loan Officer, will be responsible for completing and submitting the Loan Verification and closing the disclosure. The Loan Assistant will wrap up your mortgage application for the Loan Officer to review before disclosing the loan.
